REGGAE/REGGAETON SUBMISSION FEEDBACK (NOT CRITIQUES)

REGGAE TRACK SUBMISSION FEEDBACK

THE FOLLOWING REPRESENTS OUR BRIEF INITIAL FEEDBACK--NOT OUR EXTENSIVE DETAILED CRITIQUES

EVE ADAM

You had some good tracks here, but unfortunately they had vocals on top. That may be our fault for not overtly specifying instrumentals. I think going forward, let's assume that all music should be instrumental unless otherwise stated. I especially like the track named eve adams.mp3. Nice selections. Due to time constraints, we have to move on in the process. Nice job. Thanks for all the tracks. Some of them however, like Dos Manos or La Lucha had more of a hip-hop flavor than Reggae/Reggaeton. They could be used for future briefs. Hold on to them of course!

MARC BOUVIER - "Regaeton Joint"

- nice punchy kick

however the overall style is a little bit to soft, it sounds more like smooth jazz
try to maybe take that guitar and the electric piano out and replace them with some more authentic sounds,

GUSTAVO

nice rhythmic pattern
the pattern you play on the piano however suggests more like a salsa style
nice breakdown!

JEFF SAMPLE

nice track,
one thing you could maybe play with is that string moment, it sounds a little emotional.

JAMAR SANDERSON
Reggaeton 1

good job on the drums,
be careful with overexposing the horns because it’s hard to get an authentic sound out of the keyboard
also the main instrument playing the theme is a little inconsistent with the style

Reggaeton 2

again good sounding drums
the guitar in the beginning sounds too synthy
your track could move more harmonic wise and have some build ups

Marcus Henderson

good energy
you could add some more bass elements to emphasize the beat

JOE KASTNER

nice track but it doesn’t sound authentically Reggaeton

CAMILLE GAINER

hey Christmas!

your drums sound a bit thin. They should be stronger.
also you could fill in more with shakers, timbales etc.

JAKE OTATTI

interesting track
we feel it misses more definite kick,
also the drum pattern is a little complex, it could clearer indicate the reggaeton style

Shedrick

work on the mix, hide the trumpets, they sound too synthy
the shakers are too loud, bring up the kick
the solo guitar line is too emotional and it doens’t sound authentic
good energy

IAMWATTER

good track
a lot of great elements
the string line is too reverb-ish
good job overall

NAKIA SIMON

Wanna Be

we like your track
the mix could sound a little clearer (are you using unlicensed or licensed samples?)

My House

good job on this one

TREBELMAKER

part2

nice track
your snare sample could be a little brighter

part 1

sounds a little dark but overall cool track

B ROB

your track doesn’t sound authentically
change your drum pattern

Raggaeton ajfp

102

sounds a little weak
mix it so it has more punch

101

cool track
again the mix could sound bigger

103

better sounding mix, still not there though
your chords against the lines sound a little dissonant

JAE DELEMA

track 2

the drum pattern could sound a little more authentic
in certain parts it sounds very synthy

track1

nice energy
again a lot of synthesizers
the drum pattern is not reggae-ish
Frank Sassone

RAFAEL MACHINE

too slow
too many synthesisers
overall doesn’t sound authentic

rnd beat Miami

better tempo and feel
you could add more percussion elements

P.RIOT

estrella

nice drums
too many synthetic instruments
the main theme sounds like something..?
Dominate

Pa esa Mujer

the track doens’t sound complete, sounds a bit incomplete.

PA TI

nice track,
a little too synthy
nice, authentic drum pattern

SCHPILKAS

All four tracks were really good!
We will see what the client thinks. Nice Job!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUBMISSIONS!!!
